Gruen Watches - An American Classic

Like Hamilton, Gruen is a name well-know to those who are interested in America's "golden age" of watch manufacture. The Gruen "Curvex" is probably the most recognizable American vintage watch. Also like Hamilton, the Gruen name has survived to today, though not with the same reputation for quality it once had. Most modern Gruens are relatively inexpensive watches with "generic" quartz movements. Don't get me wrong, some of them still have very cool designs, often based on original vintage Gruens, but my preference is for the American and early Swiss watches. The watches offered here are vintage, unless specifically noted. They are functional, though we cannot guarantee them mechanically. When ordering, please be aware that the watch may require cleaning or servicing and that it may need to be regulated to ensure accurate time-keeping.
