Hamilton Electric Taurus (oops) Gemini

"Thanks" to John Watkins who pointed out my mistake on this watch - it's a Hamilton Gemini and NOT a Taurus.  Hamilton was the first watch company to offer a viable battery powered watch and they have come to symbolize their era (1957 - Mid 1960s) in both design and technology. This one is in great shape with no engraving on the back (rare). The face, crystal and case all show remarkably little wear. The case is gold filled which indicates a much thicker covering of gold than today's gold plated watches. Like most of the Hamilton electrics I have seen, this one runs a bit fast.
